Solving Problems 9-5
EMERGENCY EJECT
Use the following procedure to manually remove a disc
from the CD-ROM reader if the eject function is disabled
by software or power failure.
1.
Turn off system power.
2.
Locate the emergency eject hole below the tray (see the
following figure).

3.
Insert a thin shaft, flat-bladed screwdriver into the eject
hole.
4.
Turn the screwdriver in a counterclockwise direction
until the tray moves out far enough for you to remove
the disc.
Turn the screwdriver in a clockwise direction if you
want to close the tray before powering up the system.
5.
Restore power to the system.
6.
Press the Eject button to close the tray.
