2.2 Supplying Power to the Instrument

Connecting the power cord

CAUTION

Do not use a power supply that generates rectangular wave or pseudo-sine

wave output (an uninterruptible power supply, DC/AC inverter, etc.) to power

the instrument.

Doing so could damage the product or result in bodily injury.

Do not connect the power supply incorrectly.

Doing so could damage the product or result in bodily injury.

Before connecting the power cord to the instrument, verify that the supply

voltage you plan to use falls within the supply voltage range noted on the

instrument’s AC inlet.

Supplying a voltage that falls outside the specified voltage range to the instrument

could damage the instrument, causing bodily injury.

Unplug the power cord from the instrument when the instrument is not used.

Failure to do so could cause the operator to experience an electric shock.

When unplugging the power cord from the outlet or instrument, pull on the

plug (not the cord).

Failure to do so could cause a wire break in the power cord.

Make sure that the instrument power switch is set to OFF.

Check that the power voltage to be used is within the rated power voltage and then connect

the power cord to the power supply inlet.

Connect the plug of the power cord to the outlet.

The instrument’s power supply frequency must be switched in order to reject noise caused by that

frequency. Set the power frequency being used before making any measurements. Measured

values will not stabilize if the power supply frequency has not been set properly.
