LAN Interface

Setting items

IP address

The IP address is used to identify individual devices that are connected to the

network. Ensure that the instrument uses a unique address that is not being

used by any other device on the network.

Subnet mask

The subnet mask is used to separate the IP address into the portion that

indicates the network and the portion that indicates the device. Set the subnet

mask in the same manner as for the subnet masks of the other instruments in

the same network.

Default gateway IP

address

For network connection

Sets the default network IP address if the computer to be used (instrument

for communications) is in a different network from the network to which the

instrument is connected.

If the computer is in the same network, specify the same settings as for the

default gateway IP address in the computer settings.

One instrument and one computer connection, gateway not used

Set the default gateway IP address to

0.0.0.0

Communications

command port number

Sets the TCP/IP port number to be used for connection.
