5.3 Patient management
The
ECH O SOFT
software is capable of reading measurements made using
ELI O S
. it incorporates a database in which
the patient data and measurements can be stored.
5.3.1 Create new patient
After installing the software, there is no patient in the database, before starting a new measurement, a patient must be
created. To create a patient, click on the “ New
” button on the “
Patients
” frame on the left of the screen.
Several types of information are available, some of which are mandatory such as title, surname, first name and date
of birth. Indeed, the date of birth is used to display the audiometric normal, so it is important to fill it in correctly.
All information related to a patient can be modified. To access the patient record screen, select the patient and click
on the “ Edit Patient’s Profil
” at the bottom of the main screen.
5.3.2 Import patient from device
Connect the device to the computer to import patient data into the
ECH O SOFT
.
Start the device and connect it to the computer using the
supplied USB cable. From the homepage screen, select
the "
USB ". The device should be detected by the com-
puter.
For the first plug of the device, the USB driver should
be automatically installed. See subsection
0.
Start the
ECH O SOFT
. Go to the section entitled " De-
vice
" then click on “Data”.
If the device is connected properly and the USB driver
is running, the list of patients is refreshed automatically.
There are then 3 possibilities for importing the patient
and making measurements:
– Add a patient to the data base
– Synchronize all patients with the data base
– Synchronize all patients with the data base in fast
mode
