ear canal. It is advised to click on
“No”
, reposition the probe and restart the measure. However, if you are sure of
the probe’s positioning, it is possible to continue by clicking “Yes”
.
Once the calibration is done, the measurement window appears :
•
On the left side:
o
The rejection indicator light notifies you when the rejection threshold is reached. This phenomenon indicates
that the patient moves or, in common way, that there is too much noise. When the noise will go down, the
measure will automatically resume
o
Indicator of the stimulation quality: in a good measurement condition, the gauge should be green and half
filled. If the gauge moves or change of color, this is because of a bad positioning of the probe, or a clogged
probe.
•
The graph show :
o
In the left part, the shape of the stimulation
o
In the central part, the two buffer (A and B) that are currently recorded.
•
At the bottom of the screen:
o
The number of clicks, which informs you of the progress of the measurement, the sum of the two buffers (A
and B) must reach the number of stimulations entered in the configuration window.
o
The correlation between the A and B buffers
o
Number of rejections for each buffer
o
Detection analysis, which works only in detection mode. It shows how many frequencies have been validated
or how many statistical criteria have been satisfied, depending on the validation mode chosen. (See subsection
2.3.1.2 ).
The " Stop " button stops the measurement prematurely but the data is not lost, you will be able to consult the meas-
urement. You then have the choice of saving the data by clicking on " Save " or deleting it by exiting from the window
using the back cross.
4.8.1.2 Prerequisites for exploitation of the measure
If the click shape doesn't look like the above illustration (sinusoid amortized on a few oscillations) check the probe
position in the ear then restart the measurement.
