5.3 Patient management
5.3.2.1
Add a patient to the datebase
Select the patient(s) to be imported from the list, then click on "
Save to database
". The software will then ask you for
the information for the whole selection before importing the data.
To register a patient in the database, it is necessary to
indicate the doctor or the operator who performed the
measurements. If the operator already exists in the data-
base, it is sufficient to select him and then click on Val-
idate. If not, it is possible to create a new one (see the
paragraph on how to create an operator). The "
Cancel
"
button imports the patient, but does not associate any
operator to the measurements
A detailed patient information form is provided. You
can add information such as address, phone number, etc.
Once filled in and validated, a series of treatments is ex-
ecuted by the software.
If the patient has been correctly imported, his name ap-
pears in the "Patient" section of
ECH
O
SOFT
.
If the patient already exists in the database, it will be
automatically recognized and synchronized with the pa-
tient of the device.
If several patients in the database are likely to corre-
spond to the patient being imported,
ECH
O
SOFT
offers
the possibility of choosing the corresponding patient or
simply creating a new one.

Synchronize all patients with the database
This option lets you add all of the
ELI
O
S
patients to the
ECH
O
SOFT
database. The software will automatically scan
the list of patients on the
ELI
O
S
to add them to
ECH
O
SOFT
, if the patient does not exist, a new patient file will appear
to be filled. On the contrary if the patient is already on the database, it will automatically be synchronized.
5.3.2.3
Synchronize all patient with the database in fast mode
This option lets you add all of the
ELI
O
S
patients to the
ECH
O
SOFT
database with only one click.
The software will automatically scan the list of patients on the
ELI
O
S
to add them to the
ECH
O
SOFT
, if the patient
does not exist it will be automatically created with the information present on the device. On the contrary, if the patient
is already present on the database, it will automatically be synchronized.
This synchronization has the advantage of not requiring any intervention from the user.
If you select some patients in the list before launching the registering in the database, the software only
synchronize the patients that have been selected. If you have a large amount of patient stored on the de-
vice, making a selection enables to synchronize rapidly your data.
To use this mode, it is advisable to have carefully filled in the information of the patients at the time of
their creation on the ELIOS (name, surname, date of birth and gender).
