6.1 Evoked potential modul (ABR, ECochG et VEMP)

6.1.5

ABR screening mode

Among the tests of the evoked potentials module, the screening mode is only available for the ABR. This measure-

ment mode is intended for newborns. The configuration options are limited, but it ensures a fully automated measurement
and diagnosis.

1.

Power: by convention, the screening test for new-
borns should be carried out between 35 and 40 dB.
However, it is possible to modify this value, but
above 50 dB, the device displays a message indi-
cating that the measurement no longer corresponds
to a screening test.

2.

Choice of stimulation and collection side: If both
ears are selected, the right ear will be tested first,
then the left.

3.

Replace the Click stimulus by a Chirp stimulus
(the Chirp stimulus is only used in screening)

4.

Must be selected when using insert stimulators with a tube.

5.

Choose between an installation with only 3 electrodes instead of the classic installation with 4 electrodes (see
paragraph
