equipment and the setup.
ABR module provides two measurement modes. The
first is the clinical mode allowing ABR thresholds with
an accesses to several options that allow some flexibility
in making tests.
Furthermore, the device provide a screening mode for
new born, with less options than is clinical mode but a
fully automated recording and diagnosis measurement.

Clinical mode

Setting up measurement parameters
Once the clinical
ABR
diagnosis type has been selected
its configuration window appears. It is a way of adjust-
ing the parameters appearing in the following table.
Number of stims
Defined the number of averages (number of clicks) needed to obtain a
measurement.
Advised: at least 500 averages
Click / Second (Hz)
Number of clicks made per second
Advised: 17 clicks per second
Set Power
Used for selecting the acoustic intensities to be tested as well as the
repetition for each of the selected intensities (Allows a wave form re-
peatability test is case of a neuroma detection protocol for example)
Connected stimulator
To see which stimulator is connected and switch between the two audio
output
Automatic rejection
Activate the algorithm that automatically determines the rejection
threshold, by unchecking the box a button to access the manual rejec-
tion setting is displayed on the screen.
Alternation L/R
If this option and left and right are selected, for each power, the right
ear and then the left ear will be tested before moving on to the next
power. On the contrary, if this option is not selected, all the powers will
be tested on the left and then on the right.
Tube
This option must be checked if you use a tube between the acoustic
stimulator and the subject's ear in order to automatically correct the de-
lay and the power loss induced by this tube.
Left/Right
Used for selecting the
ear or ears
to be tested (if both ears are selected,
the test start on the left ear).
After selecting the ear and connecting the E
CHO

, the "
Start
" and "
Rejection
" buttons are activated. The central
rectangle displays the impedance value measured on the electrodes:

The icon of a floppydisk at the bottom right of the screen is used for recording the parameters defined above.
They then become the default parameters for this type of measurement.
