4.7 DP-gram
Refer to paragraph 3.6 to obtain the necessary instructions about the needed equipment and the setup.
4.7.1 Measurement settings
Once the clinical DP-gram diagnosis type has been se-
lected its configuration window appears. It is a way of
adjusting the parameters appearing in the following ta-
ble.
Power(dBSPL)
Adjust the intensity of the acoustic stimulation F2 and display the inten-
sity of F1
Number of stims
Set the necessary average to acquire a point
Advised: at least 40
«Screening» Enable screening mode. See the subsection 4.7.2
Settings
Access to the adjustment of the intensity ratio between L1 and L2, the
selection of the frequencies which will be tested and to the advanced
parameters about the validation in "Screening" mode. (See the subsec-
tion
2.3.1.1 )
Left/Right Select which ear to test
After selecting the ear (right or left) and plugged the
OAE
Probe, the «Start» button became available. Click on it to
start the measurement.
4.7.1.0 Measurement
The DP-gram measurement window then opens. The
curve is displayed with default values (0 dB for the sig-
nal,
–25
dB for the noise) on frequencies that were selected
during configuration.
Click on the "
Start " button to start measurement.
For each frequency, a series of calibrations are performed automatically to determine if the measurement conditions
are optimal to obtain usable results. In this context, the system may asks the user to make choices in order to adjust the
measurement parameters as best as possible:
The «Settings» button can be unlocked in the « Config OAE » menu (see subsection Erreur ! Source du
renvoi introuvable. ).
The icon of a floppydisk at the bottom right of the screen is used for recording the parameters defined above.
They then become the default parameters for this type of measurement.
This first step of the measurement is a self-calibration which last few seconds (2 or 3 seconds). During
this first step, the surrounding noise must be kept as low as possible.
