6.2.2

Measurement setting

1.

Preset management.

These presets save the state of all the options contained
in this panel.
By default, the software is delivered with 3 presets.
These presets are not editable, however, you can create
your own presets and save them.

2.

Display of an informative image for the connection of the
device and the patient.

3.

Selection of the powers to be tested. The measurement
is made in a decreasing way, from the highest intensity
to the lowest

4.

Selection of frequencies to be tested. The selected fre-
quencies will be tested at the same time, their modula-
tion frequencies will be automatically calculated so that
they do not interfere with each other. Selection of the
modulation frequency:

-40Hz: for awake subjects
-80Hz : for sleeping subjects or children

5.

-Duration, in minutes, after which, if response is not
detected, the software will go to the next power or end
the measurement.

-Selection of ear(s) to be tested.
-Activation and adjustment of the contralateral mask-
ing. The value indicated is the relative intensity com-
pared to the highest intensity currently tested. For ex-
ample: if the masking is set to -30 and that 2000Hz is at
50dB and 4000Hz is at 60dB then the masking will be
set at 30dB (60-30 = 30).

-If the automatic advancement is activated, then, when the software tests several frequencies at the same time, as soon
as one of them is validated, it goes to the next intensity (within the limit of a 20dB difference). Otherwise, the software
waits until all the frequencies are validated at the same intensity (or have reached the time or noise limit) before
moving on to the next intensity.
-If the insert is used and the extension tube is necessary (to use the adapater for newborns for example) then, you must
check the corresponding box so that the software adapts the calibration correctly.

Checking of the measurement progress for each fre-
quency.

It is thus possible to see the intensity being tested as well
as the duration since its launch.

For advanced users, it is possible to pause or stop a frequency. It is also possible to switch to one of the other intensities

of the protocol.

7.

Start and stop measurement.

The next button switches to the next power for all frequencies.

By default and in a normal hearing subject, a start of the protocol between 50 and 60dB is sufficient. For
a subject with hearing loss, it will be necessary to start the protocol at a higher power.

If the left and right ears are selected, they will be tested one after the other and not at the same time.
