Adjusting the idling mixture
Connect the Mathesis tester power
cable (2) port (C) to the diagnosis
outlet.
Enter the “Self-Diagnosis” menu and
select the bike model.
If the procedure has been carried out
successfully, the tester makes a
connection with the engine control
unit.
Select the “Parameter Reading”
function.
Select the “Throttle position sensor
check” function.
Turn the adjuster (12) of the MASTER
throttle in order to reach throttle angle
and voltage values of
2.3° equal to
403 mV .
If the throttle control cable has been
removed, install it again into the
pulley in order to activate the control
and then adjust the travel (refer to
“Adjusting the throttle cables” under
Sect. D 4).
Turn the adjuster (8) until reading the
throttle angle and voltage values
previously obtained.

Disconnect throttle position sensor
from bike wiring and connect it
directly to the Mathesis tester using
cable (5, part no.
514.1.032.1A ) and
adaptor (B) for the throttle position
sensor connection.
Enter the “Auxiliary” function,
“Throttle position sensor” and then
“Throttle position sensor
adjustment”.
Note the reading appearing on the
tester.
Slowly turn the nut (9) on throttle
linkage rod in order to slightly change
the voltage.
Turn nut (9) again until reading the
value you have noted on the Mathesis
tester.
Balancing the air flows
Remove the screw on the
vacuometer connector hole and
connect the vacuometer to the intake
manifolds.
Fully tighten and close the by-pass
screws (12).
Refit those parts you have removed,
start the engine and run it slightly
fast.
Balance the vacuum in the intake
manifolds by turning the nut (9) on the
throttle linkage rod.
Registrazione titolo miscela al
regime minimo
Collegare la presa (C) del cavo di ali-
mentazione (2) del Mathesis alla pre-
sa diagnosi.
Entrare nel menu “Autodiagnosi” e
selezionare il modello della moto.
Se tutto è andato regolarmente lo
strumento stabilisce il collegamento
con la centralina di controllo motore.
Scegliere la funzione “Lettura para-
metri”.
Scegliere poi la funzione “Controllo
potenziometro farfalla”.
Agire sulla vite di registro (12) della
farfalla MASTER in modo da ottenere
i valori di angolo farfalla e tensione:
2,3° equivalente a 403 mV .
Se è stato scollegato, reinserire il
cavo di comando acceleratore nella
carrucola per attivare il comando e
registrare la corsa (vedi “Regolazione
cavo di comando acceleratore”
Sez. D 4).
Agire sulla vite di registro (8) fino a
leggere i valori di angolo farfalla e ten-
sione ottenuti precedentemente.
Registrazione vite di fine corsa
della farfalla (cilindro verticale)
Disconnettere il potenziometro dal
cablaggio della moto e collegarlo di-
rettamente al Mathesis con il cavo (5,
cod.
514.1.032.1A ) e l’adattatore (B)
per il collegamento del potenziometro
.
Entrare nella funzione “Ausiliari”, poi
“Potenziometro” e in seguito
“Registrazione potenziometro”.
Prendere nota del valore rilevato.
Agire lentamente sul dado (9) del
tirante di collegamento delle farfalle
in modo da provocare una minima
variazione di tensione.
Poi agire nuovamente sul dado (9)
fino a rileggere sul Mathesis il valore
annotato.
Bilanciamento delle portare
d'aria
Collegare il vacuometro ai collettori
aspirazione dopo aver rimosso la vite
che chiude il foro di applicazione del
raccordo dello strumento.
Chiudere completamente le viti (12) di
by-pass.
Rimontare parte delle strutture
rimosse per poter avviare la moto e
mantenerla leggermente accelerata.
Bilanciare la depressione nei condotti
di aspirazione agendo sul dado (9) del
tirante di collegamento delle due far-
falle.
