9. Put Ethernet loopback connectors on all unused Ethernet connectors you
may have in the TURBOchannel option slots (see Figure 6–1).
10. Then do one of the following:
• If you are connecting the workstation to a ThickWire network, contact
your system manager or, if authorized to do so, follow your in-house
procedures to finish connecting the workstation to the network when
the network is not active. Your workstation will not operate properly
with an unterminated Ethernet cable until it is connected to the
network.
• If you are connecting the workstation to a ThinWire network, continue
with the instructions in Section 6.5.2.
• If you are connecting the workstation to a twisted-pair network,
continue with the instructions in Section 6.5.3.
