10.3 Installing a Terminal as an Alternate System Console
10.3.3 To Make Your Workstation Monitor the System Console
The workstation monitor is the system console by default. If you have set the
console environmental variable to s, your terminal is currently the system
console. To make your monitor the system console again,
1. Follow the instructions that came with your worksystem software to shut
down the software.
2. Type setenv console * at the console prompt on the terminal and press
Return.
3. Turn off the terminal if you are using the monitor as the system console.
(You need not turn off the terminal in console mode and turn it on again to
boot ULTRIX.)
