• If some part of your workstation fails to turn on, check the LED display
(see Section 11.2).
• If the workstation turns on, but a component does not function properly,
check for correct connections (see Section 11.3).
• If the workstation turns on and everything is connected, but the
workstation still does not function properly, use the full system self-test
(see Section 11.4).
11.2 Checking the LED Display
An indicator light on each hardware component of your workstation shows
whether the unit has power or not. In addition, eight small, red diagnostic
LED lights on the back of the system unit indicate whether or not the basic
components of the workstation are ready to use.
If the workstation is not functioning and no error messages appear on the
monitor, check the power indicator lights and the diagnostic LED display.
The on/off pattern of the LED display indicates which portion of the power-up
self-test failed.
