11.3 Is It Connected Properly?
Table 11–2 lists some problems that new users may have, and some problems
that may occur after new hardware has been installed. Many of these problems
can be solved easily by following the suggestions in the table. If these solutions
do not resolve the problem, see Section 11.4.

Problem

Amount of memory in
the cnfg 3 display is
incorrect.
1.
Note the slot location and size of each memory module listed in
the cnfg 3 display and compare it to the actual memory module
in the specified system unit memory slot. Reinstall any memory
modules that do not appear in the display (see Chapter 9).
2.
If the problem persists, type
t 3/mem *
at the console prompt and
see Section 11.5 to interpret the test results.
The NVRAM module
you ordered does not
appear in the cnfg 3
display.
1.
Turn off your workstation.
2.
Check to make sure that the NVRAM module is installed in
memory slot 14.
3.
Reinstall the NVRAM module (see Chapter 9).
4.
Turn on your workstation and try the cnfg 3 command again.
The status of the
NVRAM module in
the cnfg 3 display is
not
clean, batt OK,
armed
.
