2. If you have any external storage devices attached to a SCSI connector in a
TURBOchannel option slot, type
cnfg
slot-number
, replacing
slot-number
with the number of the option slot (0, 1, or 2) that you want to check.
Then check for the presence of all drives connected to that slot, as described
in the previous step.
If an expansion box that you installed fails to appear in the configuration
display, be sure that:
• All cables are securely connected and a terminator has been installed on
the unused connector on the last box.
• Each drive in the chain has a different SCSI ID number.
• The expansion box is connected to an active power source and switched on.
• The maximum SCSI bus length is not exceeded.
