Fatal Error Codes
Code
Description
Correction
0102
System Reset: Cause Unknown
The reset was not caused by the
hardware watchdog timer nor the
operating system exception handler.
Use Partial or Complete Restart to clear this
error. Contact CTI product support if this error
persists
0103
Hardware Watchdog Timeout
The hardware watchdog timer expired,
resetting the controller.
Use Partial or Complete Restart to clear this
error. Contact CTI product support if this error
persists.
010b
Abnormal Shutdown
Indicates that power was lost before the
controller could complete an orderly
shutdown.
Use Partial or Complete Restart to clear this
error.
010d
User Program Flash Restore Error
Indicates that the program stored in
flash could not be used.
After clearing this error using Partial or Complete
Restart, you must erase the user program in
flash, reload the program to RAM, and then save
it to flash.
0113
Scan Watchdog Timeout
This error indicates that the actual scan
time exceeded the watchdog setting.
A common cause of this problem is setting the
cyclic RLL cycle time too small, so that other
scan elements do not get enough time to run. If
you are using cyclic RLL, try increasing the cycle
time.
This can also be caused by a Special Function
Program (SFP) that is executed inline. An inline
SFP runs to completion within the scan in which it
is called. If the program contains an endless loop
or otherwise consumes too much time, it will
cause a scan watchdog timeout. See the CTI
2500 Series Programming Reference Manual for
more information.
Another cause of the problem could be excessive
bursts of broadcast traffic on the network
connected to the local Ethernet port. You should
analyze the traffic and, if necessary, eliminate
broadcast bursts, by using Ethernet switches that
offer broadcast storm protection.
If errors persist, you may need to increase the
value of the scan watchdog.
0114
Compiled RLL Checksum Error
Indicates the compiled RLL has been
corrupted.
These errors may be caused by to excessive
conductive or radiated interference affecting the
controller memory.
Use Partial or Complete Restart to clear this
error.
If this problem persists, ensure the system is
properly grounded.
0134
Compiled SF Checksum Error
This error indicates that one or more
compiled SF programs/subroutines
have been corrupted.
