CHAPTER 5 CONTROLLER MEMORY
5.1 Overview
The CTI 2500 controller contains several different types of memory, each with a specific
purpose. The memory types are described in the following sections.
5.2 User Program RAM
The User Program and related data is stored in battery-backed memory. As long as battery
power is present, the contents of battery-backed memory will be maintained over a power cycle.
The size of the battery backed memory is model dependent. See Section 1.20.
The battery-backed memory contains the following data:

The amount of memory allocated to the User Program elements may be specified by the user.

5.2.2 I/O register
The I/O registers contain the I/O data. I/O data includes input data obtained from the physical
I/O modules and output values calculated by the user logic. See CHAPTER 4 for additional
information. The I/O register memory allocation is fixed for each controller model.
