11.2.4 Copying a User Program from Flash to User Program RAM
Using your programming software, you can copy a program stored in flash to User Program
RAM using your programming software. When this action is taken, User Program RAM will be
cleared and the User Program stored in flash will be copied from flash.
NOTE
Because V memory is not stored in flash, this operation will result in V memory being cleared.
11.3 Power-On Start Operation
The following table describes how the Series 2500 controller operates when AC power is
cycled.

NOTE
When the User Program is copied from Flash to RAM, timer/counter presets, drum presets, loop
parameters, and alarm parameters will be restored to the values saved in EEPROM. Because V memory
is not stored in flash, this operation will result in V memory being cleared.
11.4 Restrictions When the Program Source is Flash
When Flash is selected as the Program Source, you will be prevented from making the following
changes to the User Program:
•
Modifying the RLL program,
•
Creating or modifying a Special Function program or subroutine,
•
Creating or modifying an Analog Loop,
•
Creating or modifying an Analog Alarm,
•
Modifying the I/O Configuration,
•
Modifying the memory configuration,
•
Modifying K memory contents,
•
Modifying the User Password,
•
Modifying the task codes per scan variable,
•
Modifying the scan watchdog value.
NOTE
Changes to the Loop and Alarm parameters, Timer/Counter presets, and Drum presets can be made by
HMI devices using the applicable task codes. These values will be restored to the values saved in flash
when the User Program is copied from flash.
