The following features are available on Compaq ProLiant 6000 models.
Processor and Redundant
Processor Power Modules
■
Supports up to four processors and four redundant processor power
modules
■
Evaporator plate and water-cooled heat pipes attached to the processor
■
One redundant processor power module per processor
IMPORTANT:
You cannot mix Pentium III Xeon processors in a server that
has Pentium II Xeon processors.
System Memory
■
ECC (Error Checking and Correcting Memory) with single-bit error
correction and detection down to a single DIMM and multi-bit error
detection down to the memory bank
■
Expandable to 8 GB (32 x 256-MB DIMMs)
■
Supports up to eight memory banks with each bank consisting of four
DIMMs. One bank is installed or removed at a time. Each DIMM of a
given bank must be the same size, type, and speed.
■
Supports EDO 60ns or faster DIMMs
■
Performance enhancement by configuring your memory to take
advantage of address bit permuting
