The following illustration shows four 1.6-inch hard drives (0, 1, 3, and 4)
instead of 1-inch hard drives installed in the hard drive cage.

CAUTION:
If a hard drive is removed, a blanking panel must be
added for static immunity and air flow improvement.
Hard Drive Cage Installation Guidelines
To install or replace a hard drive cage:
Removing a Drive Cage
1.
If the server is on, place it in Standby mode and disconnect the power
cord(s). See Chapter 2, “Server Installation and Start Up.”
2.
Label each hard drive with the corresponding SCSI ID if the drives are
to be reinstalled in the new drive cage.
3.
Remove the hard drives from the drive cage.
4.
Remove the left side access panel. See Chapter 3, “Server Operation.”
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot
surfaces, allow the internal system components to cool before
touching them.
