Replacing a Redundant Processor
Power Module
CAUTION:
Because the redundant processor power module
must be installed before the corresponding processor, it is
necessary to remove the processor to replace the processor
power module. Installing the processor power module with the
processor already in place could damage the electronic
components of the processor power module.
1.
If the server is on, place the server in Standby and disconnect the power cord(s).
See Chapter 2, “Server Installation and Start Up.”
2.
Remove the right side access panel. See Chapter 3, “Server Operation.”
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot
surfaces, allow the internal system components to cool before
touching them.

Locate the redundant processor power module to be replaced and its
corresponding processor.
