System Interlocks
The system interlocks provided with ProLiant 6000 Server provide a closed-
loop checking mechanism for verifying proper component mating and cabling
interconnects between critical server components. LEDs on the I/O board
provide visual assistance in isolating components to check if the server will not
power up due to a broken interlock chain. The I/O board is located directly
beneath the top access panel.
You can use the System Interlock LEDs to troubleshoot problems in the server.
IMPORTANT:
This section assumes that
A power supply is installed in the server
The AC cord is installed in the power supply and in a working
grounded AC outlet
The power supply AC power light is green
To access the Interlock LEDs, you will need to place the server on standby and
remove the top access door. Refer to the access door label on the door for LED
locations.
NOTE
: If you have the hot-plug fan option, open the PCI hot plug access door
to access the Interlock LEDs.
