For information concerning Compaq Insight Manager, refer to the Server Setup
and Management pack shipped with your server.
Compaq Integrated Management Log
The Compaq Integrated Management Log (IML) records events and stores
them in an easily viewable form. The IML records hundreds of events and then
marks each event with a time stamp. For more information concerning the IML,
see Chapter 6, “Integrated Management Display.”
Compaq Integrated Remote Console
The Compaq Integrated Remote Console (IRC) is a hardware-based remote
console solution for enhanced out-of-band remote server manageability. The
IRC features include:

Operating system independent
■
Remote server reboot
■
Reset and failure sequence replay
■
Out-of-band communication
The ProLiant 6000 includes one ISA expansion slot that can be used for the
IRC. The IRC requires a modem for out-of-band communication.
