Insert the expansion board

Close the expansion slot latch

from the rear of the unit to secure the
board.

Replace the top access panel.

Close and lock the front bezels.

Turn on the server.

Run the Compaq System Configuration Utility. Refer to the Server
Setup and Management pack shipped with your server to run the System
Configuration Utility.
Adding PCI Expansion Boards with
Extended SCSI (Slots 10 and 11)
Slots 10 and 11 of the ProLiant 6000 I/O board are designed to support Compaq
Array Controllers with Extended SCSI in addition to industry-standard PCI
expansion boards.
IMPORTANT:
Currently, only one Smart Array 3100ES Controller is
supported. Either slot 10 or 11 may be used. The remaining PCI slot with
Extended SCSI slot may be used for industry standard PCI expansion boards.
