Troubleshooting Interlock Connection in the
Processor Area
1.
Remove top and left access panels.
2.
Reseat all processors and processor terminator boards
3.
Reseat both memory expansion boards.
4.
Reinstall expansion board service bracket.
5.
Verify the air sensor/interlock cable is not damaged and is properly
installed in processor board.
6.
Verify the 3V and 5V/12V power cables are not damaged and are
properly installed in the processor board and power backplane.
7.
Verify the processor board and I/O board are properly mated and that
the four service screws are installed.
8.
Check LEDs or the symptom again.
9.
If the problem is not resolved, contact Compaq or your service provider.
System Short
If the System LED blinks once every 10-20 seconds, the system is trying to
start, but may have a short. The server has the following power voltages: 12V, -
12V, 5V, -5V, AUX5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, Core Voltage, Cache Voltage, 1.5V.
Check the following:
NOTE
: You will need to view the LEDs when the On/Standby switch is On.
CAUTION:
Never operate the server with the access panel
removed. Doing so may cause thermal damage to drives and
components, and could void your system warranty.
1.
Remove the top access panel and standard peripherals board cover, if
installed.
2.
Place the On/Standby switch ON to observe the system attempting to
start.
