Retainer  Ring

I f  the  C lutch  R otor  a n d /o r  R otor  Bearing  only  are  to

 

be replaced, bend  the  lockw ashers away from  the pulley rim

 

m ounting  screws  (see  Figure  ID -79),  and  remove  the  six

 

m ounting screws and special lock washers before proceeding

 

with  Step  3.  D iscard  the  lock  washers.

3.  Install R otor and Bearing Puller J-2 5 0 3 1-2 down into

 

the  rotor  until  the  Puller  arms  engage  the  recessed  edge  o f

 

the rotor hub.  H old   the Puller and arms in  place and tighten

 

the  Puller  screw  against  the  Puller  G uide  to  rem ove  the

 

C lutch  R otor and  Bearing  assembly  (Figure  ID -82  and  1D-

 

83),  being  careful  not  to  drop  the  Puller  Guide.
