13. R em ove interm ediate clutch plates.
a. (A ll except CB, CL and C D m odels) R em ove three
(3) com p osition, tw o (2) steel clutch plates and one waved
steel plate.
b. (CB, CL and C D m odels) R em ove three (3)
com position, and three (3) steel clutch plates.
14. R em ove center support to case retaining snap ring
(Fig. 7A -41C ).

15. R em ove entire gear unit assembly by lifting with
gear assem bly installing and rem oving H old in g T ool J-
21795 with J-9539 slide ham m er (Fig. 7A -42C ).
16. R em ove shaft to case thrust w asher from rear o f
output shaft or inside case.
17. Place gear unit assem bly, w ith output shaft facing
down through hole in work bench.
18. R em ove rear unit selective washer from
transm ission case (Fig. 7A -43C ).
