Inspection

N O TIC E :

See Fig. 7A -64C . D o not rem ove the teflon

oil seal rings from the rear accum ulator piston, unless

the oil seal rings require replacem ent. If the teflon inner

oil seal ring (sm all diam eter) requires replacem ent, for

service, use the alum inum oil seal ring.

T he rear accum ulator piston, large diameter ring

groove depth, is m achined shallow er to take the large

teflon oil seal ring. If this ring requires replacement use

only the teflon oil seal ring.

1. Inspect freedom o f accum ulator rings in piston

grooves.

2. Inspect fit o f servo pin in servo piston in case bore.

3. Inspect servo pin for scores or cracks.

4. Inspect accum ulator and servo pistons for scoring,

cracks or porosity.

A ssem bly

1. Install spring retainer cup side dow n, spring and

washer on servo pin.

2. Install servo pin, retainer, spring and washer, into

bore o f servo piston and secure with "E" ring.

3. Install oil seal ring on servo piston, if removed.

4. Install outer and inner oil rings on accum ulator

piston, if rem oved, and assem ble into bore o f servo piston.
