The CAE Air1 ventilator is equipped with visual and audible alarm systems. LED indications on the
ventilator case and alarm banners on the touchscreen are accompanied by audible alarm signals with
matching priority alert levels. The LED provides a visual indication of the ventilator status, visible to
medical staff from a distance. The on-screen computer display widgets provide a detailed status of
each sensor, a list of active alarms, and an alarm history log is recorded. The audible alarms act as
attention getters to ensure medical personnel are immediately alerted to any issue.
For information on setting alarm threshold values, refer to the
Interface Overview
section.
Vitals Sensor Alarms
The following table identifies the vitals alarm indications that may occur. For vitals sensors, an alarm
will be triggered when the ventilator readings cross the minimum or maximum threshold value.
Note:
It is possible for multiple alarms to be active at the same time
Note:
The alarm name appears on the touchscreen as an alarm banner when that alarm condition
occurs. See
Alarm Indications
for additional information.
SAFETY NOTICE
Prior to handling or using the CAE Air1 ventilator, all warnings and cautions must be
read and understood. See the
