Care and Maintenance
Qualified technicians are to perform the following preventive maintenance tasks on the ventilator,
according to the following schedule. For complete instructions, refer to the
CAE Air1 Service Manual.
Note: For required tasks based on the number of hours used, these ‘hours used’ details may be
found on the Settings screen of the ventilator user interface. See Total Operational Time in this section
of this user guide for more information.
Service Personnel Preventive Maintenance Schedule

Power on the ventilator to
recharge the UPS battery.
Charge the batteries for a
minimum of 12 hours.

Replace ventilator UPS battery. Ventilator UPS Battery Every 3 years
Replace backup lithium-ion
battery.
Backup Battery Every 3 years
Replace exhaust fan. Exhaust Fan Every 3 years
Replace enclosure fan. Enclosure Fan Every 3 years
Remove the exhaust mesh and
wash with soapy water. Rinse
under water and air dry before
re-installing the filter.
