Preventive Maintenance Schedule
Operators may perform the following preventive maintenance tasks. However, only qualified service
personnel are to perform system maintenance and those preventive maintenance tasks indicated in
the Service Personnel Preventive Maintenance Schedule table.
Operator Preventive Maintenance Schedule
Task Part Interval
Clean and disinfect. Ventilator Exterior Surface As required
Replace patient circuit and
expiratory filter.
Calibrate the flow sensor after
replacing expiratory filter.
Breathing Circuit and
Inspiratory/Expiratory Filters
Between patients or
according to local protocol
Run preoperational self-
checks.
Entire Ventilator Between patients or
according to local protocol
Empty any water from
breathing circuit.
Inspect parts for damage.
Replace as necessary.
Breathing Circuit Every 2 days or according to
local protocol
Visually check or replace the air
inlet filter i
f necessary.
Air Inlet Filter Monthly. If operating in a
dusty environment, replace
more frequently to prevent
clogging
Visually inspect the cooling fan
filter for dust build-up. If dirty,
replace the air filter.
Cooling Fan Filter Monthly
Visually inspect the exhaust air
filter for dust build-up. If dirty,
use a cloth tissue to remove
the dust build-up on the filter
mesh.
Exhaust Air Filter Monthly
Replace air inlet filter
. Air Inlet Filter Every 6 months
