This section explains how to use the ventilator, including mode setup and ventilator operation and
monitoring. For instructions on startup, see the
Setup section of this guide. For information about the
ventilator Self Test and Breathing Circuit Characterization Test, see the Interface Overview section of
this guide. The tests should always be run before the ventilator is used.
Configuring Ventilation Mode and Settings
To select and configure the ventilation mode using the Setup Screen:
1. Select a ventilation mode: Pressure Control , Pressure Support , or Volume Control .

2. On the Setup screen, make any necessary modifications to the control widget target
values:
a. Adjust the parameter value as needed using the + and - buttons. Ensure the adjusted
values fall within the appropriate range for the given parameter.
Note: The parameter ranges and default values are provided in Appendix A .
b. Repeat the steps for any parameters that need to be adjusted.
