Tutorial 2: Drawing shapes to create an 
embroidery design

This section will describe how to draw various shapes and combine them to create an embroidery design.
The Shape tools in Layout & Editing allow you to draw various shapes. Using these tools, we will draw the 
stem, leaves, flower and flower pot.

The sample file for this tutorial can be found at the following location. 

Documents (My Documents)\PE-DESIGN NEXT\Tutorial\Tutorial_2

Step 1

Drawing and moving shapes

We will follow the procedure described below to 
draw shapes.

Select the Shape tool.

Specify the thread color and sew type for the 
lines.

Specify the thread color and sew type for the 
regions.

Drag the pointer in the Design Page to draw the 
shape.
