Acquisition Parameter – Definite
Focus
The
Definite Focus
tool is available in the
Acquisition Parameter
tool group if a Definite
Focus (DF) device is physically attached to the
system (Fig. 145).
•
Click on the left arrow to expand the
Definite
Focus
tool area (Fig. 146). Click again to
collapse the area.
•
Activate
Show all
mode.
There are three areas in the
Definite Focus
control panel (Fig. 146):

The
Definite Focus
tool allows control of
the Definite Focus during continuous scan
and for experiments were the
Autofocus
modus
of the Focus Devices and Strategy is
Off
.
The
Definite Focus
tool is only available if a
Definite Focus device of the 2nd generation
(DF2) is attached to the system. The tool is
not available for a Definite Focus device of
the 1st generation (DF1).
In case the Definite Focus is switched off or has
experienced some hard- or firmware problems the
Status:
line will display a
- Device not initialized -
message in red letters (Fig. 147) indicating that the
device is not available for operation.
