Minimum (min) and maximum (max) values for each parameter can be entered via the corresponding left-
hand and right-hand sliders or the respective input spin boxes. The following parameters are available for
filtering:
−
Localization Precision [nm]
: Calculated localization precision of a peak / object in nm (in X, Y).
min=1, max = 500. Note that a max.imum value of 1000 is hard coded in the software, so no
molecules having a localization precision with > 1000 nm wil be displayed, even if the filter is
inactive.
−
Localization Precision Z [nm]
: Calculated localization precision of peak / object in Z. min = 1, max
= 500 (available only for 3D data sets)
−
Number Photons
: Total number of photons of a peak / object. min = 1, max = 10000
−
First Frame
: Number of frame in which the peak/object appears for the first time. min = 1, max =
number of frames of the time series
−
PSF width [nm]
: Width of the point spread function (PSF) calculated from the Gauss fit (only
available for 2D SMLM data sets). min = 1, max = 500
−
Background
: Variance of the number of background photons. min = 1, max = 5000; only available
in
Show all
mode.
−
Chi square
:
Χ

value of the Gauss fit for the localization precision. min = 0, max = 100; only
available in
Show all
mode.
−
Position Z [nm]
: Position in nm of a peak / object in the Z direction with the origin at the lowest z
plane (for 3D SMLM data sets only); only available in
Show all
mode. min = 0, max = defined
number of slices from the SMLM-Render menu.
−
Z slice
: Indicates the slice of a multi-stack experiment (3D SMLM data sets only); only available in
Show all
mode. Min = 1, max = the defined number of slices.
−
Region
: Region(s) of interest (ROIs) drawn in the
Graphics
view control tab and defining the min.
and max. x-positions as well as min. and max. y-positions in
µ
m. Note that all active ROIs will be
taken into account if the
Region
box is checked.
Region
is only available in
Show all
mode. If
ROIs are selected, only that part of the image will be displayed and all calculations will be restricted
to that part (Fig. 660).
