3.1
Startup of the System
ELYRA 7 systems are equipped with three Multipoint connectors that are plugged via different sockets of
the Electronic Control Unit.
The systems are equipped with a
Main
power switch on the Electronic control Unit (ECU). There is a
further remote switch labeled
Components
that is
connected to the ECU.
The
Main
switch has to be set to
ON
to be able to switch the system on and off. Components can be
switched on and off seperately by using the
Components
switch. The
Main
switch can be used to
switch off the complete system with one switch only.
The electronics to run the computer and the microscope are switched on with the
Main
switch. The laser
module has its own key switch that has to be in the active position.
In order to be able to have access to the software, you have to switch the system on and start the
computer with the following
Booting
procedure.
•
Switch on the system via the
Main
switch of the ELYRA 7 system.
•
Switch on all three Multipoint connectors if they are in the Off position.
•
Switch on any device that is in the Off position of its own power supply switch.
•
Switch on computer.

With a calibration objective and correct system configuration, the maintenance tool
allows convenient self adjustment of the systems. The optical beam path, relative
pinhole position and scanner adjustment can be set and checked automatically on the
systems.
Please not that the System Maintance Tool (SMT) is in case of ELYRA systems
only available for service.
ZEN Configuration Tool

The
Configuration Tool
permits a new or updated database to be assigned to the
ZEN software program. This function should preferably be performed by authorized
