If the
Render Localized Precision
box is checked (Fig. 678), all events will be rendered laterally and
axially to the size indicated in the
x/y
: … nm and
z: … nm
display fields, respectively. The numbers in the
x/y: … nm
and
z: … nm
display fields correspond to the upper limits set in the
Localization Precision
and
Localization Precision Z
filters, repectively (Fig. 679), regardless if the corresponding filter box is
checked for filtering or not.
Note that the number displayed in
z: … nm
is irrelevant for 2D data sets.
Note that the rendering according to the set values is arbitrary and does not correspond to true
precision values as approximated by the fit. This function is therfore only a non-quantitative display
option. For example, if 3D SMLM data have been processed with an
Experimental PSF
without
attached Localization Precision Look Up Table (LUT), events will be displayed as dots, which can be
vizualized larger using the
Render Localization Precision
tool.
Note that if
Render Localized
Precision
box is checked, the displayed
x/y:
and
z:
values will also
be taken as pixel sizes for
Grouping
.
If the
Render Best Quality
box is checked (Fig. 680), data are renderd sub-pixel precise. That is, if the
peak of the event is localized off center in a pixel, the peak of the Gaus used to render the event will be
right on the localized position. If the
Render Best Quality
box is not checked, data are rendered pixel
precise. That is, if the peak of the event is localized off center in a pixel, the peak of the Gaus used to
render the event will nevertheless be in the center position of the pixel the vent was localized in.
