Safety Markings
The following markings are used in this manual.
Danger. Refer to corresponding location on the instrument.
This
symbol appears on dangerous locations on the instrument which
require special instructions for proper handling or use. The same
symbol appears in the corresponding place in the manual to identify
those instructions.
WARNING
Calls attention to actions or conditions that could cause serious
injury or death to the user, and precautions that can be taken to
prevent such occurrences.
CAUTION
Calls attentions to actions or conditions that could cause light injury
to the user or damage to the instrument or user’s data, and
precautions that can be taken to prevent such occurrences.
Note
Calls attention to information that is important for proper operation
of the instrument.
Symbol Marks Used for Descriptions of Operations
On pages that describe the operating procedures in chapters 3 through 14, the following
symbols are used to distinguish the procedures from their explanations.
Procedure
Describes the keys used during operation and the operating
procedures. In some cases, you may not have to follow the steps
in the order they are given.
Explanation
Describes the details of the settings and the restrictions that exist
with the operating procedure. A detailed description of the function
is not provided in this section. See chapter 2 for a detailed
description of the functions.
