The following list provides a brief description of the files in the
PS_FILES directory.
D.PS is a PostScript file that contains a Control-D (PostScript’s
end-of-job marker) for use with applications that do not send a
PostScript end-of-file.
INITDSK.PS is a PostScript file that initializes an external SCSI
disk attached to the printer. For more information on this file, see
“Initializing a Hard Disk with the PC” in chapter 2.
PARMDUMP.PS causes pages to print which list all the system
parameters. If you call XANTÉ Technical Support, you may be
asked to print this page to check your setup.
SET_IP.PS allows you to set an IP address for TCP/IP networks.
SETZONE.PS sets the EtherTalk zone name for the printer. The
printer must be restarted (repowered) before the changes take place.
STARTPG.OFF disables your Accel-a-Writer 812 start-up page, so
that it does not print automatically when the printer is powered on.
You may want to do this to save printer start-up time, paper, and
toner. If so, be sure to save a copy of the page for reference.
See “Printing the Start-up Page” in chapter 2 for details on this page
and “Turning the Start-up Page Off or On” later in this chapter.
STARTPG.ON enables your Accel-a-Writer 812 start-up page, so
that it prints every time you turn on the printer. For more details, see
“Printing the Start-up Page” in chapter 2 and “Turning the Start-up
Page Off or On” later in this chapter.
SYSPARMS.PS causes a page to print which lists the current system
parameters (such as memory allocations and timeouts) and tray
selections. If you call XANTÉ Technical Support, you may be asked
to print this page to check your setup.
