3. Prepare up to 100 sheets (approximately 3/8"[9.5 mm or less])
of laser or 20 lb photocopier paper. To do this:
a. Make sure the media meets all requirements listed in
“Selecting Media” earlier in this chapter.
b. Determine the printing side of the media. Most packages
of paper have an arrow pointing in the direction of the
printing side on the wrapper or another form of label on
the media itself.
c. If you feed multiple sheets, fan paper to prevent it from
sticking together.
Note: If you use transparencies or labels, do not fan
the media; fanning transparencies causes static
build-up and fanning labels causes them to pull
loose from the backing.
