Usage of shock absorbers prolongs spring life and improves truck stability and steerability.
Shock absorber stroke is 300 mm.

4.3.2.3 Rear suspension group of 6х6 trucks is of equalizing type and is shown in Figure
69. Spring ends enter the eyes of support brackets 6. The springs are fixed to the equalizing beams 23
sweeping on the axle 18 of the equalizing beam through u-bolts. The brackets 19 are pressed to the
axles, through them the axle 18 is fastened to the equalizing beam brackets 16 and 17 by bolts 14.
Pushing and braking force is transferred from the axles to the frame through two upper 5 and four
lower 7 torque arms. Side force is transferred through the springs.
Torque arm linkages 20 are rubber and metal. They enter freely the arm head and pressed by
cast lid 21. Upper torque arms have shortened taper studs from the axle side.
