To bring a cargo down:
- unscrew the needle valve slowly counter-clockwise;
- unscrew the plug 4 to discharge air and, when the cargo is down, screw it back.
When operating the jack, put blocks under the truck wheels. The truck should be braked
with the parking brake, low speed of the gearbox should be actuated.
To jack up the front axle with the jack put the jack head into the spring clip bed, to jack
up the rear bogie put the jack head under the spring mountain bracket.
When storing the jack, head screw should be in, operated and pressure rams should be
down and the needle valve should be unscrewed.
Eliminate oil leakage in the rams and the needle valve by tightening seal nuts, and oil
leakage in housing joints - by tightening the housing head.
To protect jack working space from air, do not lift operated rams by hand when the nee-
dle valve is screwed in.
If the jack does not ensure complete working ram travel, check oil level. Add oil until
the oil feed opening closed with the plug 4, when the jack rams are completely down and the jack
is in vertical position. Figure K.4 shows jack arrangement.
If the jack is not working due to dirt in its working space, drain the contaminated oil
through the drain hole, pour kerosene, and bleed the jack with the needle valve unscrewed. Then,
when the kerosene is out, fill ВМГЗ filtered oil. It is allowed to fill the jack with МГЕ
- 10А oil.
