When switching on the Power Takeoff compressed air goes to the diaphragm chamber of 

the selector mechanism. Diaphragm 6 (is shown in Figure 145) couples the idle shaft gear 5 with 
the  drive  gear  3  through  the  rod  10  and  the  fork  9.  The  rod  10  impacts  the  switch  12  making 
switch contacts, and Power Takeoff indicator flashes on the dashboard. When switching the Pow-
er Takeoff off, solenoid valve stops compressed air intake and connects the mechanism chamber 
with the environment, air is discharged from the chamber, and the rod 10 with the fork 9 uncou-
ples the idle shaft gear 5 from the drive gear 3 by spring 11 force.
