9. When oil reaches the highest mark on the oil gage, turn the steering wheel in both
sides several times until air bubbles stop float up. If necessary, refill oil.
Implement the oil level control upon the unscrewed plug of the filler neck.
4.4.6.2 Setting adjustment of steer valves.
Provide (if necessary) checking and setting adjustment of restriction valves in the steer
after replacement of the arm or the drop arm pull-rod, or the steer.
Performance description
Implement performance on the equipped truck, which stays above the inspection pit on
the horizontal hard and flat bearing area. It is recommended to establish the rolling circle or two
metal plates with lubricant grease between them under every steering axle wheel.
Before performance start fill the hydraulic system with oil and remove air out of it. Regu-
late the hydraulic pressure-limiting valve in the steer upon the maximum steering wheel position,
when the engine does not operate:
- remove plugs 2 and 8 as shown in figure 82;
- reverse with the screw driver, not applying significant efforts, adjusting screws 3 and 7
for 3-5 rotations as shown in figure 82;
- adjust the pressure gauge to the output on the pivoted union of high pressure in the steer,
preliminary remove the cover plug from the stub dual;
Define pressure in the hydraulic system in the maximum steering wheel position when the
slewing limiter is locked in the platform. Always implement the pressure control upon nominal
rate of the engine crankshaft (beginning with approximately 1200 rpm).
