4.2 Transmission  

 
Coupling  mechanism  and  gearbox  construction  description  and  operation  and  mainte-

nance instructions are given in the Operation Manual of Yaroslavl Engine Plant. 

 
4.2.1 Clutch Control with Air-Over Hydraulic Booster 
4.2.1.1 Air-Over Hydraulic Booster for Conventional Cab Ural Trucks 

Master cylinder 7 (see figure 43) is installed in the engine compartment and is fixed by 

the bracket to the cab front plate.  

When  pressing  clutch  pedal,  fluid  pressure  from  the  master  cylinder  is  transferred 

through the tube 16 to the air-over hydraulic booster. Fluid in the air-over hydraulic booster puts 
pressure on the rod, opening the pneumatic system valve. 

Pneumatic  part  consists  of  10  l  tank  17  installed  inside  the  left  girder,  check  valve  18, 

pipelines. Feeding is done from a separate pneumatic system circuit.
