Lubricate hinged connections of the secondary brake, the tool box, storage batteries
containers, flat-car side walls, cabin doors, the hood, door and hood locks with preservative
(engine or transmission) oil.
Glue up holes, connecting the internal cavities with atmosphere on the brake valve,
the pressure regulator valve, the trailer brake-application valve, the condensed water drain
valve, hermetization pipes behind the cabin with adhesive tape.
Unload wheels, raising them off the ground up to 80-100 mm and the truck
suspension in the sequence mentioned bellow:
- Establish offloading supporting blocks 620 mm height under ball-unit flanges
18 axle swivels for unloading of wheels of the front axle (for trucks 4x4 and 6x6), as in figure
63;
- Establish offloading supporting blocks 570 mm height under the mounting
bracket of the spring 6 for unloading of wheels of the rear axle (for trucks 6x6), as in figure 69;
- Establish offloading supporting blocks 670 mm height under the axle beam next
to the mounting bracket of the spring for unloading of wheels of the rear axle (for trucks 4x4);
- Establish offloading supporting blocks 1070 mm height under frame side rail in
the rear axle zone for unloading of the rear axle (for trucks 6x6);
- Establish offloading supporting blocks 1000 mm height under frame side rail in
the rear axle zone for unloading of the rear axle (for trucks 4x4);
- Establish offloading supporting blocks 220 mm height between the spring and
frame side rail for unloading of the front axle.
8.3 Maintenance of the Truck Upon Storage
Check monthly the air pressure in tires, the condition of the protective coatings and
devices, if the fuel, oil or special liquids are not leaking. Eliminate the mentioned shortages.
Remove occasionally the discovered corrosion out of undyed and dyed surfaces,
restore the damaged paint-and-lacquer coatings, cover the undyed surfaces after the corrosion
removal with the conservation lubricant. Trim off the damaged paint-and-lacquer coatings with
the fine emery or water resistant paper, after clean the surface with the cloth moisten in the
unleaded fuel or dissolvent, dry and in summer dye two coats with the enamel of the same
color with 5-10 minutes interval, in winter lubricate with the conservation lubricant.
Implement the maintenance of the engine and the gearbox in accordance with the
operation manual for the engine and the gearbox.
Upon finishing of work seal hermetically the feed and gas exhaust systems, deflate
the balloons through the condensed water drain valve. Renew the lubrication on the ball-unit
surface.
On the trucks, stored in the unheated space or under cover, carry out the above
mentioned inspection of the efficiency of nodes, units and systems quarterly.
On the trucks, stored in the open space or under cover, and the units of which are
filled up with preservative oils, check the efficiency of the brake system drive and the clutch,
the gearbox control linkage, the housings of transfer box, the parking brake.
After inspection set everything to neutral position.
8.4. Withdrawal of the Truck from Storage
