1 PREPARATION

Align the side guides to the edges of the envelope.

Register the paper size and type into the equipment.

When you load paper on the bypass tray, register the size and type of the paper into the equipment. Be sure register them 
correctly, or they could cause a paper jam.
For the registration, see the following page:

 

 P.39 “Registering the size and type of paper loaded on the bypass tray”

Be sure to register the paper size and type when you have changed the paper size and type on the bypass tray, as well 
as when you load paper on the bypass tray for the first time.
