1 PREPARATION
For Europe
1. Alert lamp
This lamp blinks or lights in case of an error.

2. LCD screen
Use this LCD screen to check each menu and error messages.

Press this button once on the basic screen to show the “ID CARD” screen for the regions other than Europe or the
“DENSITY” screen for Europe. Keep pressing it for a second on the basic screen to show the “FUNCTION1” screen
(Default: “DENSITY” for the regions other than Europe or “ID CARD” for Europe). The available functions vary from
region to region: for more information, see the following reference pages. Press it on the menu screens other than the
basic screen to move to the upper item.

4. [SETTING/OK] button
Press this button on the basic screen to enter the basic setting menu. Press it on the menu screens other than the
basic screen to make the selected item active.
5. [CLEAR/STOP] button
Press this button once on the basic screen to stop copying or return the number of copies to “1”. Keep pressing it for a
second to cancel the setting. Press it on the menu screens other than the basic screen to return to the basic screen
without saving the settings.
6. [START] button
Press this button to start copying. For the basic copy operation, see the following page.

Press this button once on the basic screen to increase the number of copies by one. Keep pressing it for a second on
the basic screen to increase the number of copies by ten. Press it on the menu screens other than the basic screen to
move to the right item or increase the setting.

Press this button once on the basic screen to show the “ORIGINAL MODE” screen. Keep pressing it for a second on
the basic screen to show the “FUNCTION2” (Default: “ZOOM”) screen. Press it on the menu screens other than the
basic screen to move to the lower item.
