Syringe Type

Use the ITEX syringe only.

Parameters for LS and SPME Tools

Location

Location (Slot Position) where the specific tool is parked.

Instrument Length

Defines total length of the syringe (instrument). Read-only
function.

Length

Defines total length of the tool. Read-only function.

Needle Guide Type

Defines if an adapter, such as the magnetic ring or the foil
cutter, is connected to the Needle Guide.

Important:

The Needle Guide Type has to be defined,

Needle Penetration Depth

Defines the penetration depth of the fiber in the vial.

Syringe Type

All syringes with the same geometry (barrel diameter, needle
length) and corresponding syringe type to the tool are
filtered by the software and are selectable for use.

Calibrate Tool

Calibrates the specified tool.

Note

This might be necessary after a tool has been

accidently dropped, and assuming that the Needle Guide
was bent. A

re-calibration

corrects for the difference.

Check Tool Calibration

A calibration check is activated.

Select Tool

Selects another tool. The current tool is parked first and the
new required one is picked up.

Purge Syringe

Available only with HS and ITEX Tools. Allows to purge
manually a headspace syringe.

Park Tool

Parks a tool without picking up another tool from the ATC
Station.

Configure SPME Tool

This line is visualized when a SPME tool is selected.
This task allows to configure a SPME tool. Fiber
adjustment.
